ACHIEVEMENTS UNDER NATIONAL PROGRAMME ON 
CLIMATE CHANGE AND HUMAN HEALTH (NPCCHH) DURING FY 2024-25

 

1. IEC Dissemination: Dissemination of Poster on Heat and Air Pollution in local language (Mizo) to district healthcare facilities.

 

2. Observance of important days under NPCCHH: Observance of important days under NPCCHH in HWCs and other district healthcare facilities and district CMOs offices:

 

  • ·         Heat Action Day on 2nd June
  • ·         World Environment Day on 5th June
  • ·         International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies on 7th September
  • ·         World Environment Health Day on 26th September
  • ·         International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction on 13th October
  • ·         International Day of Climate Action on 24th October

 

3. Surveillance: 

i) Heat Related Illnesses Surveillance Reporting on IHIP Portal done by all health facilities (PHC & above) in all the districts from 1st March, 2023 to 30th November, 2023.

ii) Air Pollution Related Illnesses Surveillance Reporting on NOADS App done by 4/4 Sentinel Hospitals.

iii) Training of District Nodal Officers, Surveillance Nodal Officers & DDM/DEO on Air Pollution Related Illnesses Surveillance Reporting through digital approach (Android Mobile App) and integrating with IHIP Portal.

4. Planning & M & E:

  • State Level Governing Body Meeting on Climate Change and Human Health and Release of State Action Plan on Climate Change and Human held on 18th September, 2025 at SAD Conference Hall, -1, Room No.203& 204, Second Floor, Secretariat, Main Building, MINECO.
    1. Capacity building including training:
  • Online training of Medical Officers, Nursing Officers, Health and Wellness Officers, Supervisor, Health Worker, District Program Manager, District Data Manager & Data Entry Operator on Climate Change and Human Health on 1st to 6th May, 2025.
  1. Training of Medical Officers on Climate Change and Human Health held on 21st June, 2025 at Auditorium, Aizawl West College.

 

  • Sensitization of Traffic Police Personnel on Climate Change and Human Health was held on 31st July, 2024 at Conference Hall, Directorate of Health Services, Dinthar.

 

  • Training of Trainers (ToTs) of Health & Wellness Officers on Climate Change and Human Health for ASHA & JAS was held on 5th February, 2025 and 22nd April, 2025.

1. IEC Dissemination:Posters on Heat and Posters on Air Pollution in local language (Mizo) disseminated to all the districts (Sub- Centre and above).

 

2. Observance of important days under NPCCHH:

•      Observance of World Environment Day on 5thJune, 2023 at districts health facilities.

•      Observance of International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction on 13th October, 2023 at district health facilities

Observance of International Day of Climate Action, 2023 in Health & Wellness Centres of all districts, NHM, Mizoram.

Observance of National Air Pollution Day on 2nd December, 2023 in Health & Wellness Centres of all districts, Mizoram.

 

 

3. Training:Training of Surveillance Nodal Officer on Air Pollution Related Illnesses Surveillance Reporting through Digital Approach (Android Mobile App) and integrating with IHIP Portal organized by state NPCCHH, Mizoram on 29th September, 2023 at DHS, MINECO.
