Grant-in-aid(TB)

There are several schemes which aid TB patients during the course of their treatment.

• Nikshay Poshan Yojana : Nutritional Support of Rs 1000 per month during the course of their treatment to provide better nutrition to TB patients since TB and nutrition are closely linked.

• Travelling expenses : Rs 750 is given as a one time payment after completion of their treatment to compensate for their travel expenses during their treatment.

• Additional Food Basket : Under the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan scheme, a food basket consisting of essential nutritious food stuffs worth Rs 700 is given to selected TB patients as per the availability of Ni-kshay Mitra or donors.

National TB Elimination Programme is also actively engaged with various sectors of both Health and Non Health Departments. Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between various ministries like Labour & Employment, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Department of Social Welfare etc.
